Laundry, Laundry, and more Laundry

Is laundry reproducing at anyone else's house? Because it sure is at mine. I swear, I spend time in that laundry room and knock it all out... go back a few days later and it has been reproducing like rabbits! I feel like this is an area I am perpetually behind... I do a few loads, then I notice we are all wearing clothes that will show up in there tonight...maybe Adam and Eve had the right idea. I truly do not enjoy housework. You all know that, cause I have certainly expressed my disdain for it many times before.

I have made much progress at keeping my house much less cluttered, much cleaner most of the time and I enjoy that... but the laundry still perplexes me. I think part of it is you need to be around when doing laundry, to actually transfer the clothes to the dryer then to the baskets or hangers and then to the designated closet or drawer. When I am not home it is not getting transferred...instead it is stagnate - literally! I am home today, so I am doing laundry! Yea!! I guess yea, I am glad to have clean clothes, just not enjoying the process. BUT, as my friend, Herman, would say, I am NOT having to boil lye soap and water out in a big metal pot and scrubbing with a scrub board... so I will quit complaining now... thanks for listening!

I don't mind laundry, I just don't like putting the clothes back away. And my kids sure do go through a lot of clothes.

When I started working full time 2 1/2 yrs ago, I started making my kids do their own laundry. Now it is not so hard on me since I just do mine and Gary's. And beleive it or not, Grayson is the one who is really particular about his and really does it well. Jordy will let hers pile to the ceiling and then try to cram it all in one load. The other good thing about that is I know they can do that one task when they are on their own without having all pink stuff that should be white! Now...to get them to scrub their toilet...

I am the laundry "QUEEN" as you gave me the title--- yes, it does reproduce itself. It drives me up a wall! Randy and Lensie will both learn how to sort and to at least be able to do some laundry this summer-I don't want him looking for a "woman" just to do his laundry and her to think she has to do it all-- as I do with the one I married- with two older sisters!! Ha!

Citizen - glad you don't mind laundry...my mom is that way, wish I enjoyed it more, cuz u r right, the kids go thru a lot of clothes!

Joyce - good idea! I should teach my kids ... well, they know how already, my problem is they leave it in the washer and/or dryer and never complete it.

Phoebe - yes, teach them... you ARE the laundry queen...you do more faster and more efficiently than anyone I know.
